Comomás

Everything landing in Comomás, step by step

Here’s what we’ve been working on and what’s in the works right now. Comomás isn’t in the stores yet, so everything below belongs to the first version: once the app ships, every update will get its own section.

How to read this listNew featureImprovementFix

Version 1.0

In development
  1. Your shopping list is now a Ticket

The Shopping tab is now called Ticket: a receipt with sections, a code to the website, and share as text or PDF.

    New feature
    • The tab and header are called “Ticket” instead of “Shopping”.
    • The list looks like a single receipt: categories with dotted dividers, estimated total and the line “Come más, con Comomás”.
    • At the bottom of the ticket there’s a code that opens the Comomás website, with the logo in the centre.
    • Share sits under the ticket and asks for a format: text (with dashes and a link to the website) or a PDF in the same receipt style.
    • Under the share button, “Missing something in the app?” takes you to the feedback form.
    Fix
    • Opening Ticket no longer crashes the app; if PDF share fails, the rest of the screen still works.
  2. Little polish you’ll notice day to day

The tab glow looks better, Nutrition numbers stay readable, Recipes no longer overflows, and the Android widget catches up on its own.

    Improvement
    • The active-tab glow is taller and wider: it covers icon and label, without feeling cramped on “Nutrition”.
    • Recipes filters sit in a scrollable row, and the Premium card stretches to full width.
    • On Android the widget rolls the 7-day window by itself, so you don’t have to open the app just to stop it asking for a new menu.
    • If you deny photo access when sending feedback, an alert explains why; if resizing fails, the original photo is attached anyway.
    Fix
    • The Nutrition weekly summary no longer shows unreadable numbers stuck together.
  3. A floating tab bar that matches the app

The tabs float at the bottom with the same thick border and shadow as the rest, and the active tab slides with a soft glow.

    Improvement
    • New floating bottom bar with the hand-drawn look, the same on Android and iPhone.
    • When you switch tabs, a small glow slides behind the active icon instead of jumping.
    • The big pending-changes banner is gone from the menu screen; Settings still shows a quieter heads-up when needed.
    Fix
    • The offline banner respects the notch and no longer leaves a sliver visible at the top when it should be hidden.
  4. Share your shopping list

A button on Shopping lets you send the list through whatever you use (message, email, notes…), with checkboxes and a total.

    New feature
    • Share button next to the total on the Shopping screen: sends the list grouped by category, with [ ] / [x] for what’s checked and the estimated total.
  5. Mark favourite dishes and ones you don’t want

With the heart and thumbs-down you choose what shows up more and what never comes back in your menus.

    New feature
    • Favourite and “don’t like” buttons on the recipe detail, on the Recipes tab and on each meal of the day.
    • Dishes you mark as “don’t like” are left out of new menus; favourites are more likely to appear.
    • If you thumbs-down from the day’s menu, you can regenerate that day right away.
    • In Settings you manage the “❤️ Favourites” and “👎 Don’t like” lists with chips you can remove.
    Improvement
    • Those lists sit in a single scrollable row, just like ingredients to exclude.
  6. More recipes, prices and details sorted

The full catalog and price comparison load properly again, and several day-to-day details feel cleaner.

    Improvement
    • On Recipes you see how many recipes you have available (this week’s on the free plan, or the full catalog with Premium).
    • When you save a nutrition goal you can regenerate the week now or let it apply gradually; you can also pick “Other” for sex.
    Fix
    • Catalog recipes and supermarket price comparison load correctly again instead of falling back to a short built-in list.
    • Right after midnight the widget already shows the new day’s breakfast, not yesterday’s dinner.
    • The “Offline” banner no longer flashes for a second on launch when the network answers quickly.
  7. A nutrition goal tailored to you (Premium)

With Premium you set weight, height, age and a goal; the app calculates calories and macros and favours dishes that fit.

    New feature
    • In Nutrition (Premium) you enter your physical stats and choose lose weight, maintain or gain muscle, with gentle, moderate or aggressive intensity.
    • You see your calorie and macro targets next to your real weekly average.
    • With an active goal, new menus favour fitting recipes, even if the weekly budget may rise a little — with a clear heads-up.
    Improvement
    • If you leave Premium, generation goes back to budget mode; your stats and goal stay saved if you return.
    • The Premium screen and free Nutrition screen better explain the personal goal and full Recipes access.
  8. iPhone widget: one entry, resizable

On iPhone you pick a single Comomás widget and resize it; it also refreshes when the rolling week moves on.

    Improvement
    • In the iPhone widget gallery there’s a single “Comomás” entry with small and medium sizes; you can resize one that’s already placed.
    Fix
    • When you open or return to the app, the iPhone widget refreshes as the 7-day window catches up.
  9. A week that rolls forward: today + 6 days

The menu is no longer a fixed block: as days pass, new days appear with your current preferences, without a full manual regenerate.

    New feature
    • Your menu covers from today through 6 days ahead and catches up when you open the app or come back to it.
    Improvement
    • New days entering the window use the preferences you have now, not the ones from when you first generated the week.
    • Pending-change notices in Settings explain that the week updates itself, without pushing you to regenerate.
    Fix
    • As the week rolls forward, checkmarks on items you’ve already bought stay put.
  10. Free Recipes: the ones in your week

Without Premium the Recipes tab shows dishes from your current menu; the full catalog sits behind a preview.

    New feature
    • Below that, blurred cards of other recipes and a Premium invite appear; locked ones don’t open their detail.
    Improvement
    • On the free plan you see the recipes in your weekly menu (deduplicated), not the whole five-hundred-plus catalog at once.
    • If you search for something outside your week, you get related locked teasers instead of an empty result.
    • With Premium the Recipes tab still shows the full catalog, with no limits.
  11. A recommended budget that behaves better

You get a suggestion based on household size, the field accepts comma decimals, and it warns you if you go over the cap.

    New feature
    • Setup and Settings show “💡 Recommended: ~X€” based on how many people you cook for.
    Improvement
    • Low / very-low budget warnings use the current recipe catalog, so they track real costs more closely.
    Fix
    • If you type the budget with a comma decimal (for example 90,50), it saves correctly instead of being truncated.
    • There’s a 500€ weekly cap with a clear message, and the insufficient-budget alert rounds up to whole euros.
  12. Tell us what’s missing or what’s broken

From Settings you can send a message with a category, optional photos and your contact email.

    New feature
    • New “Is something missing in the app?” row in Settings, under “Help us improve”, that opens the form.
    • You pick the kind of message (bug, wrong recipe, billing, unmet dietary need, suggestion, Premium or other), write up to 1000 characters and leave an email so we can reply.
    • You can attach up to three optional photos to better show what’s going on.
  13. Repeat dishes, right from setup

During setup you can already turn on “Repeat dishes more often” — no need to wait for Settings.

    New feature
    • New “Repeat dishes more often” switch on the last setup step: recipes repeat more often and you can save by buying less variety.
    Improvement
    • That last step is now called “A couple more settings” and groups dish repetition with the anonymous usage data option.
  14. Marking an allergen excludes its ingredients

If you avoid an allergen, the app automatically drops ingredients that carry it. You can allow a specific one back in if you want.

    New feature
    • When you mark an allergen during setup or in Settings, catalog ingredients that contain it are excluded automatically.
    • If you re-include an ingredient that carries an excluded allergen, the app asks you to confirm before allowing it.
    Improvement
    • If you re-include the only ingredient for that allergen, saving unmarks the allergen by itself.
  15. Allergens with the 14 official categories

The allergen list to avoid now follows the official categories and is more precise.

    New feature
    • You can also exclude mustard, sulphites and lupins.
    Improvement
    • You can pick any of the 14 official allergen categories during setup and in Settings.
    • Shellfish splits into crustaceans and molluscs, and peanuts are separate from tree nuts.
    Fix
    • Sesame now appears in the list: it existed before but you couldn’t select it.
  16. Say goodbye to ingredients you don’t like

Mark specific ingredients and they won’t show up in your menus, just like allergens.

    New feature
    • New “Ingredients to exclude” option in setup and Settings: pick by category what you don’t want to see.
    • Excluded ingredients are hard-filtered: they don’t appear in the generated menu.
    Improvement
    • Your selections sit in a single scrollable row, without pushing the rest of the screen down.
    Fix
    • After “Reset everything”, regenerating the menu now respects the free plan’s weekly change limit.
    • If you leave setup to check Premium, the answers you just gave are no longer wiped.
  17. The wide widget, with square cells

Breakfast, lunch and dinner sit in equal-sized squares, tidier to read.

    Improvement
    • Each meal in the “Menu of the day” widget sits in a square cell, on Android and iPhone.
  18. Wide widget: the whole day at a glance

A larger widget showing all three meals of the day at once, without opening the app.

    New feature
    • New “Menu of the day” widget with breakfast, lunch and dinner side by side.
    • The meal that’s up next is highlighted based on the time of day.
  19. The widget adapts to the time of day

It no longer always shows the same meal: breakfast in the morning, lunch at midday, dinner in the evening.

    New feature
    • The meal on display switches automatically through the day.
    • A one-off in-app tip explains how to add the widget, in case you didn’t know it existed.
    Improvement
    • The widget now uses the same style and typeface as the app.
    Fix
    • The day name shown in the widget is taken from the real weekday.
  20. Your menu on the home screen

A widget to see what’s for today without opening the app.

    New feature
    • “Today’s menu” widget for Android: the current dish and day, right on your home screen.
    Improvement
    • The widget refreshes as soon as you generate a new menu.
    • With no menu yet, the widget invites you to generate one.
  21. Recipe library

A new tab to browse every recipe, not just the ones in this week’s menu.

    New feature
    • New “Recipes” tab with the whole available library.
    • Search by name, plus filters for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
    Fix
    • The search keyboard now closes properly when you tap outside it.
  22. Cooking mode, step by step

Cook without losing your place: one step per screen, big type, hands free.

    New feature
    • New cooking mode: recipe steps one at a time, with “Step X of Y” and back / next navigation.
    • Launch it straight from any recipe’s detail screen.
    Improvement
    • A light haptic tap on entry, so you know it registered when your hands are busy.
  23. Weekly streak

Plan week after week and the app keeps count for you.

    New feature
    • The home screen shows your streak (“🔥 3 weeks in a row”) from your second planned week onwards.
    Improvement
    • Regenerating your menu several times in the same week neither inflates nor breaks the streak.
  24. Weekly savings summary

An optional notification with what you didn’t spend against your budget.

    New feature
    • Weekly notification with your estimated savings versus the budget you set.
    Improvement
    • Only sent if you’ve enabled notifications and anonymous usage data, and only when there are real savings to report.
  25. Reminders to pick it back up

If you stop planning, a gentle nudge to come back. Without nagging.

    New feature
    • Optional reminders after 3 days, a week and a month without generating a menu.
    Improvement
    • At most one reminder per stage: they never repeat or pile up.
    • They only arrive if you turned notifications on yourself.
  26. Anonymous usage data, only if you want

You can help us improve the app by sharing anonymous stats. Off by default.

    New feature
    • New setup step to decide whether you share anonymous usage data.
    • An “Anonymous usage data” switch in Settings, so you can change your mind anytime.
    Improvement
    • No personal data or location is ever included, and turning it off stops all stats immediately.
  27. You decide the budget

The app no longer changes your budget behind your back: it warns you if it’s tight and you decide.

    New feature
    • A three-level warning (realistic, low or very low) based on what feeding your household costs.
    Improvement
    • The budget you set stays exactly as you set it, even if you change the number of diners.
    • The same warning shows up both during setup and in Settings.
  28. Notifications, always opt-in

The app can notify you about news and reminders, but only if you turn it on.

    New feature
    • After your first menu, a card asks whether you want notifications. You can say “Not now”.
    • A row in Settings to enable notifications or check whether they’re on.
    Improvement
    • No account or email needed: registration is anonymous.
  29. Steadier and clearer

Groundwork fixes so the app starts reliably and Premium is clear before you pay.

    Improvement
    • The Premium screen clearly states the price, the auto-renewal and how to cancel before you subscribe.
    • A branded in-app screen for when something can’t be found.
    Fix
    • Fixed unexpected crashes when opening the app on iOS.
    • “Reset everything” no longer resets the menu changes available on the free plan.
  30. It counts who eats at home

The number of diners starts to affect the budget you need, not just the quantities.

    New feature
    • The weekly budget takes your household size into account.
    Improvement
    • A warning when the budget falls short for the number of people you entered.
  31. Every ingredient with its own icon

The shopping list reads at a glance thanks to an icon for each product.

    New feature
    • Ingredient icons throughout the shopping list.
    Improvement
    • The icons ship inside the app, so they look identical on any phone, Android or iPhone.
  32. The app dresses like the website

The same hand-drawn style inside and outside the app, with each day’s cost in plain sight.

    New feature
    • Per-day cost chips on the home screen: tap one to open that day.
    Improvement
    • Thick-bordered cards, chunky shadows and pastel colours across the app.
    • Shopping list categories are grouped into cards and quantities sit in a badge.
    Fix
    • Each recipe’s cost matches the sum of its ingredients exactly.
  33. Day 1

    The first weekly menu

The starting point: you say what you want to spend and the app plans your whole week.

    New feature
    • A full weekly menu: 7 days of breakfast, lunch and dinner within your budget.
    • Guided setup: weekly budget, number of diners, kitchen equipment, allergens to avoid and preferred cuisine.
    • An automatic shopping list, grouped by category, with quantities and indicative prices.
    • Recipes with ingredients scaled to your household, step-by-step instructions and their allergens.
    • Menu changes: reroll a single day or the whole week.
    • Nutrition and calories per recipe and per day with Premium.
    Improvement
    • Everything is stored on your phone: no account, no sign-up.
